The namesake of Firehouse Architecture LAB, this is my home, workshop, and ongoing construction project.  Built in 1891, it was originally Downtown Ithaca's Torrent Hose No.5, renovated into the Firehouse Theater in the 1970's, and most recently the Ithaca Calendar Clock Museum.

Currently, we are using it as a lab to test out ideas and hone our construction skills. Our goal is to simultaneously re-invent spaces within the building as well as honor it's history by restoring original details and materials wherever possible. The Firehouse is a collage of modern and historical, decorative and industrial, whimsical and functional.

WINNER! Award of Merit in the category of Adaptive Reuse, by Historic Ithaca.
